Argentine scientists unravel the moral judgment of terrorists and identify how to detect frontotemporal dementia
What are the mental traits of an individual who goes on to murder up to 600 people?
To answer this question, a team of Argentine scientists conducted a unique experiment in Colombian prisons: it interviewed 66 paramilitaries convicted of crimes against humanity and discovered that for these individuals the intention counts little; The end justifies the means. The same researchers, from the Institute of Cognitive and Translational Neuroscience (triple dependency: Ineco, Conicet and Favaloro Foundation) identified a method that allows the detection of a form of dementia in the early stages of the disease.
