Dementia: Chile is the country with the highest risk in Latin America
Studies of the IDB (Inter-American Development Bank) indicate that the increase in people with dementia in the next 20 years will correspond to 77% in South America, mainly in countries such as Chile, Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. This reality prompted Agustín Ibáñez, a researcher at the Neurosciences Center of the UAI School of Psychology, together with experts from each Latin American country to study the phenomenon.
