M: Mente
Definir la palabra mente es, en el mejor de los casos, exorbitante, y en el peor, estéril. Requiere que una única mente defina a todas ignorando la mayoría. Al cotejar intentos previos, he dado con variados axiomas, ángulos y objetivos. Dudo si el ejercicio me devolverá claridad, pero sí me depara una lección: estas definiciones suelen decirnos más sobre la mente (particular) de quien define que sobre la mente (universal) definida. Para orientar esta lectura, entonces, al menos debería transparentar mis sesgos. Se están por embarcar ustedes con un argentino cuarentón, compulsivo y algo cínico, que transita sus días entre las ciencias del lenguaje y las neurociencias cognitivas.

M: Mind
Defining the word mind is at best exorbitant, at worst sterile. It requires a single mind to define all while ignoring most. In collating previous attempts, I have come up with varied axioms, angles and targets. I doubt whether the exercise will return clarity, but it does hold a lesson for me: these definitions often tell us more about the (particular) mind of the one who defines than about the (universal) mind defined. To guide this reading, then, I should at least make my biases transparent. You are about to embark with a forty-something, compulsive and somewhat cynical Argentinian, who spends his days between language sciences and cognitive neurosciences.
